As the calendar turns, many of us are caught up in the whirlwind of setting goals, shedding pounds, and striving to be better versions of ourselves. We sit down with our thoughts, trying to untangle the complexities of our lives and carve a path to success. And, transparently, I’m right there with you.
But here’s a truth we all must confront: we can’t take ourselves to a place we’ve never been without guidance. Imagine planning a trip overseas without ever having flown before—it would be daunting! Having an experienced traveler by your side makes all the difference. Similarly, as we embark on this new year with ambitions to “be great,” we must recognize our need for a guide who truly knows the path to greatness.
Many of us aim to venture into new territories, yet we may not have seen the roadmap to get there. Perhaps life’s twists and turns, or even family circumstances, have kept us from realizing the lifestyle we yearn for. Here’s a not-so-secret revelation: Jesus Christ has already walked this path. As both fully God and fully man, He stands as the most successful figure to walk this earth. With a mind capable of overcoming any challenge, He healed the sick, walked on water, and turned water into wine. This year, for our success, we need His mind and the transformative power of God’s Word.
Our minds are often cluttered with fleeting thoughts and societal pressures that sabotage our dreams and destinies. We were created for much more, but to reach those heights, we need the right guide. We need Jesus. His spirit, the Holy Spirit, is essential for navigating life’s journey toward success. Our minds, tainted by worldly influences and trauma, need renewal. While we can’t escape the media or the world around us, we can guard the gateways to our souls.
So, who will walk with you this year? Who has the experience to lead you to your dreams? You carry a divine burden and desire to grow, launch, and trailblaze. But who is your guide? Today, I introduce you to the ultimate tour guide—a timeless presence known as the Ancient of Days, the beginning and the end. Let’s ensure He leads our journey. Let’s seek His wisdom at every opportunity.
